Absolutely! Our Support Department operates 7 days a week and can be contacted by sending an email to support@NakedNewsAnchors.com with your questions. We recommend that you include as much detail as possible in your message, so that we have enough information to locate your membership (if you have one), and to resolve any issues you might be experiencing. You should receive a response within just a few hours.
• What is "Streaming"?
The term streaming refers to files that are designed to play as they download without the need to complete the download before you begin playing it. These streaming files are specially encoded and delivered off of high-performance streaming servers. The whole process is designed to let you enjoy more great high quality content fast. There are many streaming products on the net: music, videos, animations and more. This is different from "Downloading", where videos are actually stored on your hard drive and can be watched later without an internet connection.
• What is Video Compression?
In order to deliver the best quality video, digitized video clips are compressed using custom software. This process exchanges file size for video quality.
To deliver the Naked News to you every day, we take our video files and compress them using numerous different technologies. These video files start out so big that downloading them would take many hours even on a high speed connection. The video file is processed so that only the changes in the video are refreshed, rather then the entire video frame. This drastically reduces the file size and allows you to watch the news as it is downloading rather then having to wait for hours before being able to see something.
Not all compression techniques are used in streaming, another common video compression is called mpeg-2 (pronounced empeg two). This technology allows movie makers to put an entire super high quality movie onto a single DVD.
• What is a Cookie?
A "Cookie" is a small piece of data that a website sends to your computer to make your surfing easier. By doing the record-keeping for you - saving passwords, saving preferences, noting which plug-ins you have, and so on -- cookies make surfing faster, more personal, and more efficient.
• What is a Plug-In?
Plug-ins are small applications that give your browser extra capabilities, such as playback of audio or video files, 2-D or 3-D animation, and so on. When you try to view or hear a file that requires a plug-in, like a movie or sound clip, the necessary plug-in launches automatically if you already have it. Current browsers come pre-packaged with the most popular plug-ins but if you don't have the plug-in you need, you can download it from the developer's site. Plug-ins are generally free, though some offer advanced features for an extra fee.
If you download and install a plug-in, but find that you still can't view the desired files, quit the browser and reopen it. Some older browsers require you to quit the program in order to fully install a plug-in.
• Can I watch Naked News on my iPhone or iPod Touch?
Absolutely! Naked News offers a mobile website optimized for members using iPhone or iPod Touch devices. All you need to do is go to our website in the device’s Safari browser, and you will be given the choice to enter the regular site or the mobile site.
• How do I watch Naked News on my iPod?
iPod videos are only available to our Gold Members. There is a special iPod button inside the Members’ area where you can select from available iPod-compatible Naked News programs.
• What format are the iPod files in?
The iPod files are MPEG4 files which have been compressed and zipped for faster downloading. Each Naked News segment is a separate file so you can select the clips and/or anchors you want to watch.
• How do I put the files on my iPod?
Video files can be put on your iPod using iTunes© software. Once you have unzipped the files you can copy them onto your iPod and create your own playlists.
For instructions on using iTunes© please read the help instructions provided with the iTunes© software.

• Adobe Flash Player buffers in the middle of a video and/or the video seems really choppy.
The most common problem involving Adobe Flash Player that we see involves internet connection speed or the user's computer operating system. Ensure that your computer meets the recommended system requirements above. Note that once you become a Naked News member, you will have the option to download videos directly to your computer, allowing you to watch them without needing an internet connection.
• I have a Flash Player installed on my system, but every time I try to play a video it says, "the specified stream type is not recognized".
You may be running an older version of the Adobe Flash Player. Ensure you are running Adobe Flash Player version 9 or above.
• Why does my computer crash when I try to view the Naked News?
As with all programs and plug-ins, Adobe Flash Player and/or web browsers can freeze or crash your computer. This should not happen on a regular basis, when using a demanding application like a streaming video player try not to have others programs running that might be using system resources. If it seems that the player you are using is causing continual problems, please contact the appropriate support department at Adobe Flash Player Support.
• Every time I try to watch a video, it says that the file path is incorrect.
This can be caused by a number of problems. If every video you try to watch on our site returns this error, it is a temporary problem caused by our streaming server breaking down from excess usage. During regular business hours this should only take a few minutes to fix once we are aware of the problem, so check back soon and everything should work. On the other hand, if you only receive this error for one particular video, then it is possible that the video file has been corrupted and we would appreciate your feedback so we can fix it.
